"Young" Pioneers
prepare for next season
Can you say young??
That's what people will say when they take a look at the 2006-07 version of the Miles Community College Pioneer men's basketball team.
Not only have some talented sophomores left, but two freshmen who would have been big contributors -- Trevor Morris and Jordan Pratt -- are also not with the program; Morris having signed early with Idaho, and Pratt leaving the program for other reasons.
That leaves just four sophomores coming back from an 18-12 season, and only two of them -- point guard Aaron Sutton and post player Nate Barstad -- saw significant time last season.
The other two sophomores, however, may make big contributions. Aaron Skogen was considered by many as the team's most improved player, and has developed a consistent outside shot. Jake Ellis, at 6-9, will be one of the tallest players on the roster, and is back after redshirting last season.
The rest of the players who are on the roster at the moment are freshmen. That includes two foreign players.
